Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026

Orlando Andrdae ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Kanji Mind mobile application (the "Service"). This policy describes the information used when you access the Service, why it is used, and your choices.

Kanji Mind is local first. You can study without creating an account, and learning progress is not uploaded to our servers in the current version.

Information we use

Local learning data

Progress, favorites, preferences, practice history, and reviews are stored in a local database on the device. They are not associated with an account identifier or backed up remotely in the current version.

Optional account

If you sign in with Google or Apple, Firebase Authentication processes a user identifier, the provider used, and—when shared by that provider—your name, email address, and profile picture. We use this information to authenticate you, display the account, and manage account-based features.

Technical data

Firebase, Google, Apple, app stores, and future advertising providers may process technical information needed for their services, such as IP address, operating system, device model or identifiers, security logs, diagnostics, tokens, and interactions with ads or purchases.

Advertising

Kanji Mind may offer optional ads, including rewarded ads that grant temporary access to content also available through a purchase or subscription. Once enabled, the advertising provider may process advertising identifiers, IP address, general device information, ad impressions, clicks, completion events, and anti-fraud data.

We will request legally required consent before using personalized advertising or tracking technologies. Where consent is unavailable, non-personalized ads will be used when supported by the provider. The selected advertising provider and its policy will be added here before advertising is enabled in production.

Purchases and subscriptions

The Service may sell premium content and subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store processes the payment and financial details; Kanji Mind does not receive your full payment card number. We may receive the product purchased, transaction identifiers, purchase status, storefront country, renewal or expiry dates, and information required to verify and restore premium access.

Subscriptions are managed and canceled through the relevant store. Deleting a Kanji Mind account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

How we use information

  • Provide, protect, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate accounts and complete deletion requests.
  • Verify purchases, restore access, and apply benefits.
  • Deliver advertising rewards and prevent fraud.
  • Meet legal obligations and resolve technical issues.

We do not sell personal information. We currently do not use Analytics, Crashlytics, or first-party tracking tools on the website. The website does not set first-party cookies.

Third-party providers

We use or may use providers only for the purposes described in this policy. Each provider processes data under its own terms:

  • Firebase for authentication and future account features.
  • Google for Google Sign-In and Google Play.
  • Apple for Sign in with Apple and the App Store.

The app or website may link to services we do not operate. We recommend reviewing their policies; we do not control their content or practices.

Retention, deletion, and security

Local data remains on the device until you remove app data using operating-system controls or uninstall the app. The Firebase identity is retained while you keep the account. From Profile, you can sign out or delete it: the app verifies your identity, revokes provider access, and deletes the Firebase identity.

Account deletion does not erase local progress because it works without authentication and is not linked to the Firebase identifier. For additional access, correction, or deletion requests, email kanjimindsupport@gmail.com.

We apply reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

International transfers and business transactions

The Service is available internationally. Providers may process information outside your country, where data-protection rules may differ. We will apply safeguards required by applicable law.

If Kanji Mind is involved in a reorganization, acquisition, or asset sale, information associated with the Service may be transferred. We will provide notice of material changes and the policy that then applies.

Children

Kanji Mind is intended for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher age or parental authorization, the user must meet that requirement before creating an account, making a purchase, or using personalized advertising.

A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information improperly may contact kanjimindsupport@gmail.com to request deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Service, providers, or applicable obligations change. The current version will be published at this address with its update date. Material changes may also be announced in the app.
